Probably an imaginary friend. When my son was 2 he invented "Poody" who live in Coyote Woods and had blue chicken feet.   I had to set a place at the table for Poody and everything. Every time he got in trouble, Poody did it.

Weird..my son is 2 and out of the blue yesterday started saying 'Bobby' a lot.

I'm going to go ask my neighbor what the guys name was...if his name was bobby I'm smurfing moving...the guys mother also apparently died in our living room O_O O_O O_O I've seen shadows go across my living room, heard someone running down the hallway when nobody was up (my husband heard this also so I'm not crazy lol)
