Breastfeeding question..

So I BF and FF and today I gave my son (he will be 3 months old on the 18th) 6 ounces of formula because someone told me 4 ounces wasnt enough since he's still waking up every 2 hours of the night. When I breastfeed he's waking up every two hours... but I gave him 6 ounces today at one, it is now 6 and he's still sleeping.... Am I not producing enough for him with breastfeeding? He's a lazy eater, has been since birth so he always falls asleep eating and he eats for only 10-15 on one side and falls asleep... what should I do??

Sorry if this doesnt make sense.. I know what I'm trying to ask but cant seem to type it lol

They digest breast milk faster than formula.

Some also eat more from the bottle because its less work to get it out of the bottle vs the boob.

Yep. My LO only ate for 5 minutes on one side sometimes. Most of the time it was around 10 mins.

Both my boys only ever ate for 5 mins on one side. They fed every 1-2 hours. Even at 6m old.

You can't over feed a breast fed baby, formula yes, breast milk no.
