It's is almost impossible for me to get medicaid. No clue why. I tried for a year. Turned in all my paper work, spent like 8 hours on hold trying to talk to people, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. I couldn't even get pregnancy medicaid it took that long... And I'm deathly afraid that if I go to the health department, this sounds horrible, I will catch some rare weird exotic disease because of all the people there.... In september I went to our state run guidance counseling thing and I'm still waiting for them to get back to me about talking to someone. I have to have 3 private sessions with a counselor before I can be put on a waiting list to be seen by a doctor who will decide if I need meds or not. The shortest wait on the waiting list is 3 months...
