What we got in the mail today...

posted 13th Dec
We got a holiday card without a return address that was simply signed...from a friend.
Inside was a $100 Walmart gift card. We were besides ourselves with the kindness from whomever it was and the mystery of it all... The post mark was Syracuse. All our city mail is sent to Syracuse to be sorted and then back to our city so that leaves it pretty wide open.
We are just going to use the pay it forward system and do some random act of kindness of our own when we can.

The other day at starbucks the person in front of me (in the drive thru) paid for my order, so I paid for the person's behind me....I hope they kept it going!

I can't wait to be able to afford that stuff. I already donate all of DD's used and unused things when my mom can find someone to give it to (she works for social services). If they have anyone in need my mom knows that I have most of DD's stuff that hasn't already been donated to her.

The family I work for is like that. They pass on their kids' clothes and her clothes to others and her husband helps out in the neighborhood and she volunteers. I think it's great.

Funny thing is after Christmas shopping and getting a new tire for the car and having it installed and bills we were getting pretty close to broke and the next pay check is cut at least in half to go towards the fact that the next check after that is spent entirely on paying the rent and then some of the other half has to go to bills too. So we were going to be very tight on money the next few weeks but $100 is alot out of the blue. We don't advertise our finances at all so this was just totally random of someone.

I want to do something too. We always donate leftover WIC stuff, food when we can and I donate clothes but I want to do something more. Idk what though.
