How do you get out of your funk? I am so uninspired.

Alcohol ... Seriously it works for me.
Inspirational music.
Sitting down and instead of writing a scene ... Write a setting instead and then slowly ease the characters into it

I'm stuck. I'm writing a novel, and I've been stuck with what to do after this scene for a few weeks now. I'm gonna put on some classical music, see if that helps.

So am I.

I write epic fantasy and I find it very easy to either lose my place (convoluted story lines and many characters) and then lose inspiration. I'm also overly critical of my own work so I get into a funk about how its awful and nobody will ever read it.

What do you write?

Science fiction, more geared toward young adult, but I already have a sexy steamy little scene in my head for my main character.  

I'm also super critical. I get so caught up up into editing.

There are five romances going on in mine. My main erotic couple are two guys caught up in a co-dependant love/hate relationship. This is what happens when you watch Star Trek at 3am
