Carseat Help *Special Needs*

My son is 4yrs old and 43lbs. Which means his 5pt he has is no longer good for the 5pt since it only goes to 40lbs. I don't have the $$ for the super exspensive car seats, but I know for fact my son won't sit in a regular over the shoulder/lap belt. Is there other seats out there that are 5pt that hold more weight?

This is the one I have for my 5 year old and love it! I'm going to get one for my son when he out grows his toddler seat

The Graco Nautilus has a 5pt to 65lbs

We have an Evenflo. It's a few years old so I can't find the model anymore, but they have quite a few that harness to 65lbs and booster to 100 lbs.

What you really need to watch is the height, that's where we ran out of room before the weight. Kieran is 55lbs but can't harness because the straps are coming out of the seat a good 1-2 inches below his shoulders   I still do on the highway (to keep him in place) but we've started using the booster with the belt around town.

Cameron is 43lbs and 3ft 9in. I've had him in a shoulder/lap belt with a booster, but he gets out of it, i tried using it ONCE to go up town in my MILs car because kevin was gone with his (and the seats) and my MIL had a reg booster and i used that and he got out of it within seconds x_x

holly i will link you the one i bought for josh. We had this same problem not long ago and Josh is no where near ready for the seatbelt

Did you make sure to pull the lap part as tight as possible then pull out all the slack to lock the rest of the belt? That's how Kieran was getting out,I hadn't pulled out enough to lock it and then make sure it went back in.
