Paraguard good or bad?

I have an appointment to get the Para guard tomorrow and would like to hear about other women's experience with it. Does it hurt to put in? Did you like it or not?

I have had it for 3 months now and I like it so far. It hurt like a bitch to get it in but you're also suppose to be on your period when you get it so that might have been why for me. I was on the Depo(only one shot) before that and had HORRIBLE side effects and about a week or so after getting the Paragard the side effects started disappearing. I bled the whole time until a week ago after getting it inserted but my doctor thinks my hormones were all out of whack because of having a miscarriage, then going on the Depo and then getting the Paragard. They say you have heavy periods while on it but since I was pregnant, then was on the Depo and then had the non stop bleeding for 3 months I can't tell you about that part yet. Good luck!

I am getting it put in next week. I don't think I have heard a single person say anything bad about it so far except that some women say they bled really heavy on their periods.

Well now im pretty scared I am not on my period either. I got the Murina before it didnt hurt that bad to put in, but im a wimp when it comes to pain!

Eh, it was only for a minute or two and then I had cramping and back pain for the next week or so but I just took Motrin for the pain.

It hurts going in and I had really bad cramps and light spotting for a few days ater.

It didn't hurt at all. Them cleaning the cervix was what was unccomfortable.
