Healthiest breakfast ideas

posted 13th Dec
ok, so I really don't like eating breakfast so I am trying to make myself... What in your opinion is some of the healthiest breakfast foods. What do you eat for breakfast normally?.
Today, I got up and roasted some veggies and ate that over some brown rice but it's not very breakfasty lol.

I usually just have an apple.
They have enough complex carbs to energize you until lunch time or later. Also, nothing else really sits that well in my stomach. Cereal feels too heavy. Apples are perfect.

Oh yeah and if an apple is not enough - I like to skin apples sometimes, steam them with cinammon and brown sugar and then put them in oatmeal. It's delish.

Are there any other foods like that? I dont really like apples but need a good, quick, easy breakfast.

I do yogurt and a bagel with 1/3 the fat Strawberry Cream Cheese. And MAYBE some juice, depends on my mood.

I did that yesterday! I wasn't sure if it was enough calories to start the day with.
I actually ate an apple and a carrot. Which was fine to me. Especially since it is hard for me to eat in the mornings.

Pretty much any fruit is great for breakfast. Strawberries, bananas, oranges, peaches, etc. If you aren't a fan of just straight fruit, smoothies can be really awesome too. Plus you can add protein to smoothies like plain yogurt or tofu. You can even add spinach or broccoli (raw so it doesn't taste weird.)

I have eggs with salsa, sour cream, and cheese mixed in. And some chopped fruit like banana and apple or strawberries. Then a cup of coffe. Perfect start for the day puts you in such a good mood

One half of an english muffin, with a fried egg & a strip of bacon into little pieces and sprinkle over egg. That was part of my diet when I was pregnant with GD- really good for you and very low in carbs.

Do you have a blender? An apple is PLENTY! I really can't eat much anymore because my son has some milk intolerance. (I am already a vegetarian, this makes me a vegan, yuck.) Plus I hate how cereal makes my stomach feel in the mornings, I just feel fat and lazy afterwards lol. Apples are definitely enough. If you have a blender, smoothies are like the easiest thing in the world and soooo good for breakfast.

Almost every day, I have an egg white scramble with fresh veggies. I cut them up the night before so I can just pour them into the eggs in the morning. Good amount of protein and veggies, and under 100 calories!

I go with some type of fruit and a bagel, or cereal, or oatmeal.

About once a week I'll make a big breakfast but it's usually on very lazy days where we lounge for a bit first. I can't stand a lot of food early in the AM.

Yum! That sounds awesome. I have really been into eggs lately but I am not sure if I should eat them...since I fry them in a pan? lol. Ugh, my fiance has been obsessed with fried egg sandwiches and I really like them! I just don't think I should eat them since I am trying to lose 15-20lbs XD

I'm not big on fruit but I do love oranges. I've been buying cuties lately. How are they compared to regular oranges?
