38 1/2 weeks (:

So I'm 38 1/2 weeks pregnant & at this point so damn sick of being pregnant! I'm really worried that I'm not going to have my daughter by my due date, (Christmas Day.) I haven't had any signs of labor yet I haven't lost my mucus plug yet or anything. I've had pressure deep down in my pelvis & when my baby moves I can feel her down in my pelvis area moving. My doctor told me I've started 'softening' but no dilation or thinning yet. I'm super scared to have to be induced because I've looked up & heard stories about how painful being induced is & I'm going to have my labor naturally, no pain medication. So if I have to be induced I'm afraid its going to be more painful than just natural birth normally is. Any advice?

You don't have to be induced. They can't force it on you. A lot of first time moms go overdue. With that being said, you can go into labor without any signs at all. Try to enjoy these last few weeks. You'll miss it when it's over.

You have time left. Start walking and doing squats, but nothing is going to make that baby come until baby is ready.

A LOT can happen in a week and a half! Just put it out of your brain the best you can and let her come when she comes!
Also, you won't be induced if you don't make your due date, unless you have medical reasons. That's just an estimate.

I had no progress either with my first Son and my water broke a day before his EDD.
No progression doesn't mean you'll "never" go into labor on your own.

Walk, do squats, try walking up and down stairs (safely), I've heard to eat pineapples, and drink lots of fluid to keep you hydrated. All of that should (no guarantee) work!! When I was 37 weeks with my little girl I did squats and walked up and down stair and drank a lot of water. I had a 7 hour labor and had her within 5-10 pushes. Good luck

You're so close! Don't worry, your baby will be here very soon. No signs of labor means nothing, you could very well go into labor naturally and have no issues.
