I want him out of me NOW!!!!**overdue rant**

posted 13th Dec
I am overdue. My due date was originally 12/6, but moved to 12/11 after ultrasound measurements. I want him out now and nothing is working. I've pretty much been molesting my husband at all waking hours when he is not working(the man can't feel himself pee anymore), walking for miles, I did a 45 min tae-bo cardio video, and have used my pump for nipple stimulation and I am still only 50% effaced, 1 cm dilated, no contractions, and he is not completely "dropped" (my cervix is still pretty high). I want him out NOW. I have an appointment on Tuesday if he is not here by then and we will discuss my medical options then, but I fear that means they are just going to schedule another c-section and I am going for a VBAC.

If it comes down to it, I'd still insist on an induction if you have your heart set on a VBAC.

Also, if you do end up being induced, it'll suck, but wait until you're at least 5cm if you do decide to get an epi. It'll help your chances for a c-section go down a bit if you can't take natural with pitocin, which most can't so don't feel bad!
Good luck! Hope you get your VBAC

being induced slightly increases the risk of uterine rupture. I wouldn't insist on an induction.

Or refused pitocin and get cervidil.

Well, not if her doctor says the risks are too high.
I meant if he said she could, but it would most likely end in a c-section, I'd at least give it a whirl.

They'll most likely try that before pitocin anyway, but it rarely works alone to start labor if you're not contracting already.

the risks for what are too high...? pitocin is dangerous especially in a woman attempting a VBAC.

That's how I was induced both times, I wasn't contracting before hand...

Idk, I know people who have had successful inductions after previously having a c-section. *shrug*

That's why I said rarely.
I had Cervidil and it didn't work. My doctor told me not to get down about it because it rarely works unless you're already having some contractions, every woman's body is different.
