yea I mean, it's definitely possible. but the chances really go up, from less than 1% to like... I knew off the top of my head but I forget. idk I'd maybe consider it if I was 42 wks but not earlier.

I drank 2 cups of Raspberry leaf tea, ate some pineapple and went into labor 2 hours later. I was only 1.5 dilated.

My doctor said she most likely wouldn't recommend an induction since my VBAC is exactly 18 mos after my cesarean which is usually the cut off for even attempting a VBAC  . I just felt so violated by my cesarean that I can't stomach the thought of having to go through it again without medical necessity. I had a lot of postnatal psychological issues that stemmed from the fact that I was never even given the option of going into labor and was just rushed to the operating table.

i have those same issues
i don't even know what a contraction feels like. just keep trying the home remedies for starting labor...that's my advice.

Don't get down hun. You still have time, you're only 2 days over due!

Can you just tell him you want to avoid any intervention until medically necessary or 42 weeks?

When I started seeing this doctor with this pregnancy (had to change due to insurance), she pulled my medical records from my daughter's delivery. I was apparently lied to about the severity of my situation. I had pre-eclampsia, but was stable enough to be induced. My doctor made the decision to do the cesarean without consulting me about my condition and warning me that the surgery was actually much more risky that inducing me in that state.

I took a warm/hot bath after my 8 block walk, after my doctors appt too. And then that night, I went into labor. I'd say it did help.

I have a very similar story then! I wasn't even diagnosed yet with full on pre-e. I just had uncrontrollable high blood pressure. my kidneys and liver were fine. I just had high b/p and heart rate. I was on medication and bed rest but it wasn't working unless i stayed in the hospital. My doctor kept telling me over and over...Well if i have to take the baby soon, i'll have to section you. Your cervix is way too high and hard.
But the day we decided we really had to do something he pretty much gave me the choice..said we could do a c section that day...or be induced 2 days later and it would be at LEAST a 3 to 4 day long induction and would likely end in a c section anyway. I chose a c-section but i regret it SOO badly. I should have at least tried.

I sooo feel your pain mama.

It sounds like he basically scared you into it. I'm sorry.

I hope you plan on switching docs if you ever have another!

definitely! I will never use him again. he is like known as the best OB in my whole town but I have no idea why. I never liked anything about him from day 1 except that he performed his own ultrasounds.
Oh and I'll never forget at my 4 week PP check up we were talking about mirena and he said 'the only real downside is if you get an STD it will be a lot worse. So you can't go around being a sex tramp.' It wasn't a joke. I think he had all these wrong judgements about me for no reason....maybe because SO only came to like 2 appointments, maybe he thought we weren't together or even knew if he was the dad or something? I don't know i'm just guessing because I know he's a very christian man..

Wow, you're a lot calmer than me. I would have told him how horribly unprofessional that is.
