Well I have finally getting my appointment for an hysterosalpingogram. It's only taken a year
Can any of you lovely ladies who have had one please share your experiences.

Take some ibuprofen beforehand or better yet valium or other muscle relaxer if you've got it. For some women they're not painful at all but for others they can be pretty uncomfortable. It's fast though!

Thank you, heard it's painful. Have you had one before? Just want it done and over with.

Thanks ladies. Do you get the results there and then?

I've had two HSGs one in 09 and one this year. Both were pretty much painless, I had AF type cramping for 5 minutes and that was it. You'll know the results right away.
Like everybody else said take Ibuprofen!

Mine was only slightly uncomfortable until he used a catheter to unblock my tube. As soon as the catheter touched my tube it was one of the most immediate and painful things I've ever felt. But until then it wasn't bad. Ibu ahead of time couldn't hurt Good luck hopefully you get some answers!
