The problem with waiting on insurance, is that it usually takes a while to pay out.... which doesn't help your income at the moment. Is there any way he can get disability at least in the meantime?

I'm not ridiculous, and yes. I'm dealing with it right now with my husband.

I'm not sure if ypuve ever been in an accident. My mom's been h it twice and got $5, 000 plus medical and chiropractor. Etc.

Wow that's really good! How can they gauge medical bills for further in the future? Just bigger settlement/lifetime medical? I honestly dont know.

That's great to hear. He'll prob be in a lot of pain! I couldnt imagine how much that hurts. Do you know around how fast the driver was going?

Lawyers are a waist of money for small claims. If the other person is at fault their insurance pays for injury..

Yeah they give a certain amount to cover possible future issues. Because even with stuff it could be 20 years down the road you have issues and it could just be from life or that, no one will ever know the exact cause ya know what I mean? My mom had a work injury, and had to have back surgery for it, well come to find out she also has a degenerative disease so the injury probably just aggravated that. After a certain period, it is more of just a "wear and tear" injury usually than directly linked to an accident. Unless it's something like a severely broken bone that takes screws or something and there's issues with that.

Unfortuantely, my husband is dealing with a lot of issues since the accident, which are getting worst everyday. our car was totaled. He is seeing a physical therapist to help with the numbness in his left arm.
