Ebay Sellers help :)

Ok so I just sold a pair of Coach boots on ebay (never sold anything on there before.. only ever been a buyer). It was all through paypal, printed the shipping receipt, sent it at the post office.. when do I receive the actual payment? Right now it shows she paid and the funds aren't yet available.. do they become available when it's delivered? That seems kind of sketchy can't she just say she never got it and get her money back?

I always wait until the funds are there in my paypal account before I ship ANYTHING.

ETA- Once the payment "clears" and the money is there for me to use, I then ship the item.

I looked around on the ebay website it says the funds won't be available for up to 21 days or until the package is delivered? something like that.. the girl paid its just not available for me yet.. seems paypal is holding it since I'm a new seller. I shipped it yesterday and the amount I paid for shipping is now available but not the rest.

I would call paypal and ask.

What can I do to get my funds more quickly?


Typically, you'll get funds in 21 days – even sooner if you follow good shipping practices:

• If you print shipping labels through eBay or PayPal, funds should be available 3 days after we can confirm that the order was delivered. Your tracking information uploads automatically, and you'll get funds to help cover shipping, too.*
• If you ship directly using USPS, UPS or FedEx and manually enter shipment tracking information on eBay or the PayPal Transaction Details page, funds should be available 3 days after we can confirm that the order was delivered.

That is what the Paypal website says.

I have a tracking number so I'm assuming once Canada Post says "delivered" then paypal will release the rest of my money? I'm going to call I'm getting nervous now lmao.

that's what it sounds like. hmm, they must have changed paypal a lot, i've never heard of that, but then again i've been w/ebay & paypal since 2001.

I called and they confirmed that once the post office delivers the item, they will automatically deposit the rest   phewwww!
