I dont think they are less expensive. You will be washing more cleaning more. Bleh I dont see how cloth is any cheaper.

Quoting Momma Fergie:" If you work full-time and will be putting the child in daycare most daycares only accept disposables. You could buy a few cloth diapers and see if you like them.. they are very expensive. "

I at least want to try. MY fiance's friends wife .lol. owns a local baby boutique. She's totally GREEN. so she makes cloth diapers and said she would be more than happy to make me some or to give me a discount. So I thought with that , I'd at least try ?

Well try it see if it works for you and if you find it to be worth it.

3 extra loads a wee is nothing in my house. Thats like $3-$5 on my water bill.

If I spend $500 on CD, 60 on detergent, 100 on extra water. Thats $660.

I'd spend over 2k easily on sposies for 2 years.

So do you let them sit and wait until you have a load to wash them?

I haven't started yet, but yes I will. Breastfed poop is water soluble. Same thing as when one of my kids pee on themselves at nap time and they put the clothes in a plastic bag.(sometimes I forget and they're in there until the next day, i don't toss them just wash them) Once he starts eating solids Ill spray the poop off then put it in the wet bag. They have special bags designed to hold dirty diapers. You can't smell them.

And one thing I've learned is you're techincally supposed to dump the poop off of sposies too. Human waste isn't supposed to go in the dump.

I completely understand lol. With my twins cloth wasn't even an option. My mom wanted me too and I told her no way in hell.

Yeah exactly i dont look at the overall cost for 2 years of diapering i just buy as i need. i dont add up how many packs ive went through in 2 years lol. So i would never know what i spend anyways. if anything youd maybe save 1000-1500...over 2 years meh not worth the money too me haha. PLus my kids have never had a diaper rash in their life so i dont know what my reasoning would be to switch now anyways.

Cloth wipes. Same thing throw them in the wash with the diapers. You can use baby wash cloths. Theyre like $3 for 10. I was SUPER skeptical at first but Ive been researching it everyday for the past couple of motnhs (thanks GA state for that skill lol) and its the right thing for my family.

Plus we are slowly converting to a green household, reading into Rastafarianism, and cloth just lines up with our beliefs.
