Help me.

posted 13th Dec
Ok so my new yeras resolution this year is getting back into my own body and getting rid of the habbit of take out when I am too lazy to cook or we are out shopping etc....

I want to take these next few weeks to prepare a plan and a schedual/guide that will help me out.

I have 3 kids who will be eating the same as me, I decided to drag them with me on this journy as well as my parents, lol since I am the one who cooks all the meals they have no choice. lol

So what is your meal plans and excercise routine like? I have a elipticl machine here and thats it. What are some home things you do to help get your prpregnancy weight back? Any tips please and thank you.

I plan on going for walks and getting a bike once I can actually sit comfortably again. My sister does this crazy work out thing. I honestly don't remember what it is called.

Oi have done those videos in the past for years at a time and the did nothing for me. lol

I've lost 12 lbs this month. I've been going to the gym though. As for eating I usually have either a banana, some oatmeal, or kashi for breakfast. Lunch I either have a tuna sandwich, or a salad. Dinner we've been doing chicken burgers, turkey burgers, turkey tacos with whole wheat tortillas and low sodium seasoning, and random recipes I find in this "biggest loser" cookbook MIL got me. I've replaced our mayo with the light version, our butter spread for spray, soda to crystal light, and now crystal light to water, 2% milk to 1%, peanut butter to organic natural (no added sugars and half the fat). I also don't snack on little debbies, or chips anymore. Instead I'll have a nature valley bar, or or a v8, some fruit, or celery, etc... I do however indulge once a week (usually sometime during the weekend) because I feel like if I never had a soda or a brownie (whatever I'm craving), I'd give up. When I indulge though I try to buy it individually packed so we don't have it in the house the next day (a 24 oz soda vs a 2 liter, a single packaged brownie vs a box, etc...)

There are a lot of things I cant change, like the milk it whole milk cause of lo. But I dont drink milk myself lol We must have meat everyday, my dad. lol and my dad wont eat anything with fruit in it or a veggie (depending on what veggie) lol I dont eat fruit or veggies either. lol

My personal snacks and breakfast and lunch wil be ok, cause I am the only one home at the time. lol But dinners I am going to struggle with. Everyone always wants tacos and burgers eggs bacon steak roasts etc......high fats and high salt contents. lol Its goingto be a challange. lol I am up for it, and so is my mom, she has knee issues (not due to weight) but the weight isnt helping. lol

Oh by the way congrats on the 12lbs. i started back in the summer and lost 15lbs in 5 weeks then went off my diet. lol

Yeah, my DH is a very picky eater that's why I try to make a lot of burgers, tacos, enchiladas, or chicken. I just use lean turkey instead of beef it tastes exactly the same, except you don't get the grisly pieces (which i don't like anyway). Sometimes I'll make normal stuff like pork chops, lasagna, etc because it's just one meal of the day, and I don't eat a TON of it. Other times I'll just make myself something different than DH, but I know since your family is larger that's probably really hard. good luck to you though.

Thanks, yea its harder. It funny cause my 10 month old gets turkey spaghetti and chicken etc....all homemade healthy cooked meals and we eat homemade stuff but it wasnt healthy lol I know my dad wont touch ground turkey or pork or chicken for that kind of stuff. I have my own kitchen but since they work (I rent from them) lol in the day and me at night now I cook for everyone. lol

yea, I mean even if you just change little things you are bound to lose weight. I've seen people who didn't even change their habits that much like they just switched from regular soda to diet and lost like 20 lbs. Also I was going to say if anyone likes rice in your family you could do that for a side with dinner. We do brown rice instead of starchy things like fries, tater tots, potatoes in general, mac and cheese, etc...
