My aunt does this and uses it as a "rainy day" jar or if they need extra cash. Every few months she takes it to cash in.

Same here. I'm going to give him a roll of quarters a week.
I'm hoping ylthis will have him realize how bad of a mouth he has.

Maybe we should do two jars. One for kids one adults.. I like that ot gives the kids incentive to stop saying "idiot" or "stupid".. without your typical timeout.

Like it becomes their decision to stop.

& to each kid too? How does this work? What happens if anyone runs out of quarters? I'm the one who is always cussing my house. I have a tendecy of using the terms "smurf", "smurf", and "smurfing smurf" a lot lol.

Ha no the kids would need tops a 1 or 2 a day.

And daddy is only home 3 hours a night.. I'm hoping it will limit his mouth.

If I had a swear jar I would be be broke, as well as everyone else in the house. lol
Good idea tho. lol  

We thought about doing this but never ended up doing it. I think it would be nice to donate it to charity.
