Late AF signs of Late O

Back Story.....I went all out in October; got me some pre-seed and a BBThermometer so I could start temping and get this baby in my belly. So I waited for Novembers AF to go away so I could start using my treats. Needless to say I temped maybe 2-3 days then stopped. To make a long story short I thought I was sooooo pregnant since my AF was due December 2 and never showed.....well not until like 3 days later. So since my AF was late does that necessarily mean I ovulated late.

Yes it could. My period was every 45 days, because I ovulated late.

Now im like so mad cause I BD like starting the week of Nov 12th but only baby danced like 3 days. But since I have read that late period could indicate late ovulation I counted back 14 days which would have set my ovulation on the 21st! So now I know for sure that I have to do my temping and use my OPKs. Which I will start tomorrow!!!! I started on monday or tuesday, but eneded up coming down with something which then everytime I temped I was getting 99.9. So I erased all the data and will start tomorrow!

I still use the opks too. Since I used to have clockwork periods (somewhat still do) I always figured I ovulated exactly 14 days from the last day of my period. Well someone told me I should be ovulating 14 days from the first day of my period. Well started using the opks and wouldn't you know I was right. I ovulated on CD19 last month. Hoping it's the same this month. I had some issues a while back that caused me not to ovulate. So I swear by the ovulation kits. I usually test twice a day starting 4 days from the day I'm supposed to then start testing 3 times a day after that 4th day. Just to make sure. I actually caught my ovulation from beginning to end last month. It was actually cool. First time ever. Most people say using the opks are stressful it was actually kinda cool for me since i used to only go by the pains I get when I'm ovulating. So yea those opks are the best bet especially when you come down with something and the temps wont help ya.
