He was (fake) OFFENDED by the Atheist's billboard. So, he said something that would OFFEND the Atheist because he was told that he shouldn't be offended. He was showing the absurdity of the statement.

People really need to thicken their skin. I am so glad it takes a whole hell of a lot to offend me.
