oh, dude uses it almost daily, i'm not sure if he's signed up for it or not, but i'm just using my account cos my son put his money into my checking (which is usually an unused account) and dude is sleeping so i can't get his passwords   (and i'm ordering the things my son wanted)

not really answering your question..but I have amazon prime free trial and LOVE it. I'm not going to cancel. I order from amazon quite frequently.. so the free shipping is awesome, I watch TV with it on my kindle for cheaper than netflix, and they have movies too (though I haven't watched one yet).. and get to borrow a book a month free as well with it. SO worth the $79 a year.

Yes, and they'll charge you again in a year if you dont change the settings.

we definitely already pay for prime then, cos we have hulu/netflix/and amazon on the TV.

You are a student, you might as well get the 1 year free membership of Amazon Prime Student, and then when that year is up, you only have to pay $30 for the next year, instead of 70. I did it. Best investment I ever made!
