serious breast feeding issue
posted 13th Dec
So I had my daughter via emergency c-section on 12/11 and she was rushed to a hospital in a different state immediately after birth... I've been pumping every 3 hours at 20 minutes a side and I've been Lu lucky to even get drops. Every pumping session has literally ended with me bawling and I have never been more frustrated in my life. Am I doing something wrong?

Nothing. Your milk isn't in yet.

No, mama, you're not. It can take a few days for your milk to come in. How's your little one doing? I can understand why you're so upset, especially if your little one isn't with you. Hang in there. I hope she gets to come home soon.

your stressed! you have a lot to be stressing over, and that can cause problems with breast feeding. plus she came early which means it might take your body a couple more days to get everything going. try to calm down and worry more about you and her then Breast feeding.

She's going to be okay, just had some breathing and blood sugar issues. I'm just feeling so discouraged. I don't remember having this hard of a time with getting milk for my first daughter.

It can easily take a week for your milk to come in, and stress and the lack of contact with your LO doesn't help. You're doing fine, just keep it up and your flow will start soon. GL.

Did you have a c section last time? I have read it can take milk longer to come in with one plus you aren't latching her which also helps milk to come. I'm sorry y'all are having a rough start

That because you were able to directly latch her and that helps. You also probably weren't this stressed. It'll be okay, keep your head up

I pumped for her as well because she wouldn't latch and was pouring out enough milk to drench nursing pads easily. I did have her vaginally though. Her at 37 3 and this baby who I haven't even met yet at 37 1

I had the same issues with my little girl. I was upset the hospital had to keep my little girl and no milk for her. I go so mad when nothing would come out. took 3 days for it to come in really and i still was not making much for her to eat.
You can try to drink mother milk tea for her to start helping your supply since she is in the hospital. You can refrigerate your milk up to 72 hours if needed. Try fenegreek herbs as well or brewers yeast. Any little things help!! Hope your little one does not stay way too long. Mine was gone 3 and a half weeks. Now she is 2 years old!
