So I want to make this soup from the show The Chew.
(If you look at the recipe I wouldn't be making the jam to go on the grilled cheese sandwiches)
The recipe calls for chicken stock (5 cups), sherry and white wine (1/2 cup of each). I have food stamps and I'm not sure the two are covered on food stamps, and even if they are I'm not sure we can afford them. So. My question is can I just add an extra cup of chicken stock? I will be making it for a Christmas get together on Friday. It's a potluck and I was told not to worry about bringing anything because DH and I were a last minute invite. I feel bad not bringing anything so I want to make this. But I need to know the substitution. So thanks ladies for the help!!
