How common is it for a home pregnancy test to show a positive when you are not really pregnant?

Not common I'm guessing cause you can get a false negative but can't get a false positive

It's not "common" at all, but it does occasionally happen. Usually the batch that is showing an unusual amount of false-positives is recalled pretty quickly after it gets to stock in stores. My doc and my family & friends all suggest buying two different brands of tests, just in case. Chances of getting TWO false-positives is astronomically unlikely.

Not "common" at all, really. I would suggest buying a few different brands and test on all. If they all say pregnant, then you're pregnant.

The one showed a faint positive the other was extremely dark.
