Im just curious if you baby and SO got to stay in the room with you while you were being stitched up. Ive seen both and im wondering which way it usually goes!
Im really hoping that they can stay in with me, my last two c sections they went right into getting bathed and what not but I never requested any different.

They took DD to get checked and cleaned but allowed BD to stay with me.

I believe as long as you request it and are firm about it then they willwait to clean the baby and will kept the babe with you.
Mine was there and then for the like the last 2 minutes they took her and DH followed to be with her.

My first was an emergency so no one was in there at all. My last 2 they took the baby to the nursery and my mom (with DD) and DH (with DS2) went with the baby.

Nope, I was asleep unfortunately.

All three girls went to the nursery to get evaluated (two different hospitals) and DH went with them at my request. They came straight to me in recovery though and were with me then on. I've never heard of baby or DH getting to stay with you while being stitched up but it would be nice to have it happen I'm sure.

They took my oldest to the nursery and hubby went with her. When I was allowed out of recovery we went by the nursery to get her.
No idea what would have happened at my other hospital, I didnt ask because I was VBACing.

I thought they were goig to take my son away but they let my husband hold the baby the whole time. He only had to step out while they transferred me from the operating table to my bed. I got to hold him while they took me back to my room and gave me like an hour and a half with him before they took him to do all the new baby stuff.

Reason I ask, is because I want to see everyones reaction to seeing the baby.. ya know? I don't know if that just sound like me being a big baby, but I just want to be there for everyone to see, not the other way around. If that makes sence.

I was the same way. Plus I didn't want anyone except my DH to hold him before I did. I told my mom as they were wheeling me out that no one gets to hold him before me and she said ok. Once I got to the or though the nurse told me he was staying with me the whole time and I got excited that I would see everyone's reaction. Everyone started crying as soon as they saw me and baby come around the corner.
If they don't let them stay with you you could always ask that everyone wait in the waiting room until you get into recovery and have them come once you have the baby back.
