What to get a 4 year old? (games)

posted 12th Dec
DD is 4 and we have just recently started letting her play games on Disney Junior online. She gets to use my laptop of my mom's when we go there. She's figured things out pretty quickly and loves playing.
DH and I have been talking about getting her some sort of learning toy thing (like a leap pad or innotab) but have no idea which one to get. We don't want to spend a ton of money on something that will be too advanced or that she won't like. We also don't wan to have to spend a bunch on games or cartridges or whatever they are that go with some of the systems.
What would you ladies suggest?

Heathen got the Innotab last year and she loves it! She's 4. You don't have buy the cartridges, you an download books and games straight from VTech for pretty cheap. First go, you'll get like 5 credits to use to download books and games.
They have a lot of learning games. I got a few spelling games and a clock game for her.
She also has a Tinkerbell and a Princess game cartridge. And we just bought her a Brave one for christmas.
She calls it her 'reading' since I have a Kindle.

My friend got her 4 year old an Ipad. :/

I don't think you can get too advanced anymore for kids. They learn QUICK!

Thanks! That's what I'm leaning towards : ) DH has a Kindle too but she rarely sees it since he uses it mostly at work lol

Crap! I asked DH for an iPod touch then saw how much they cost and told him not to worry about it. I'm so far behind on technology and so are my kids but I've seen how much she loves the online games and she's actually learning from them so I decided we could try it out
