Crazy 2.5 year old, help?
posted 12th Dec
Jack is a great kid and listens well ... when he wants to.
Then other times, he's nuts. He spits (not at anyone, just in general), he pushes Basil over and takes things from him, he runs straight into you, screams, kicks, not even crying, just going NUTS, throwing toys up in the air to see them fall, and not batting an eyelash when I talk to him.
Its cuh-razy!
I try to talk to him, but when he's being Crazyjack, he stiffens up his body and screams, cries, and squirms relentlessly. Time outs are the same way. Taking away toys, he doesn't care.
Help?
Its hard, especially with a 10 month old crawling around.

Lol boys are crazy, my son was great until a few months before three then someone flipped a switched and went nuts but from everything I see on here and from speaking with his pedi it's just a boy thing and they will eventually outgrow it. I am impatiently waiting till he turns four next year because then he can play t-ball and soccer which means more energy is being burned off and not in the house :-) Never liked sports before I had my son but now they look like a god send lol

Ever since my son turned two he has become crazy. He's a maniac lol he hits growls at me throws many tantrums. He can be very sweet and loving and knows how to listen but only when he feels like it. He has quite the vocabulary so I know when he is mad or what not. He is a crazy busy little guy and time outs don't work. I have tried them over and over and it doesn't phase him. I have a three year old as a five month old so I know it's hard. I just try to keep him busy and stretch his mind. It seems to help. Good luck.

Sounds just like my 2 1/2 year old, he's also developed a pinching habit. I really hope the terrible twos are just a phase cause he's "cuh-razy" lol

....Thank God it's not just my kid.
Faye is the same way.
I feel so helpless when I try and talk to her about why she was disciplined and she just shakes, screams and squirms away. Feels like you are getting NO WHERE.
