Group B Strep & Labor????

Has anyone on here had their water break and gone into labor shortly after having the group b strep test done?

but my water broke and i was positive for group b strep.i was 39 w and 4 days

With my last 2 pregnancies I didn't even make it far enough along to have the test done. So I was just given the IV anti biotic while I was in labor. I don't know how the test would cause you to go into labor. Its just a swab of your rectum and vagina.

I have never heard of it causing labor I had it done and had no problems after with my first.

The Dr did the test today at 34wks 2 days, but only because I'm pregnant with twins is why he did it early. I was just curious if that was gonna make me go into labor now...lol. I'm trying to make it as long as I can, but I'm ready to meet my boys at the same time!! :-)

lmao yea the bacteria is found in the vagina and on the rectum. Some doctors swab just one but some swab both lol

lmao, i thought my doctor was being funny or something cause while she was down there I felt her touch my bum! It had me wondering afterwards if I had a weird butthole or something, like she just had to check it out. lol
