I would, though I highly doubt my child would be into it.
I know it has gore and smurf but the graphics and the theme are not to catch a 5 y/o attention.
I love the game and I'm loving Halo 4 o.o

Smurfing love Legend of Zelda. ♥
Lol, DH was telling me a while back that he doesn't like Silent Hill and I was like "Excuse me, but Silent Hill is the smurf, and now I have to divorce you.  "
We were in Game Stop at the time and the employees thought that was hilarious.

I'm torn between Silent Hill 2&3. I loved the story of Silent Hill 2, but I was WAY more scared of Silent Hill 3   Legend of Zelda is my favorite series of games. I've been playing it since the 8-bit system and I remember being SOOOOO excited when the Super Nintendo one came out lol I think I was 4? Of course I couldn't play it very well yet, but it didn't stop me from trying! lmao

Quoting katxo:" Would you let your 5yr old son play COD? What about a regular shooting game that involves killing zombies?? Just curious."

Nope... my husband won't even play games like that around my son. Infact my husband only plays video games when our 3 year old son is at nap or bedtime.

I wish my husband would do that. My toddler has now started picking up controllers and screaming at the TV because that's what he sees his dad doing -_-

Talk to him about it.. let him know you think it's negativly affecting your son and you would appreciate that if he plays while your son is up that he controls his urges to scream at the tv.. if he doesn't think he can then maybe he should only play at naps and bedtimes.

Yep. It's just a game. You have to teach your kids reality vs. fantasy.

LOL I have two 10 year old little smurfs with their own accounts.

True. I make my kids turn the sound off if I hear anything foul.

My husband won't listen to me. I've talked to him about it several times and I've even asked that maybe he plays in the other room so that we can't hear him and nothing. He won't do it. His thing is, "It's my house, why should I have to be banished to the bedroom." Even though his behavior causes me a LOT of anxiety and obviously our son is mimicking him. So whenever he plays, my son and I go hide in the bedroom until he isn't playing anymore.

Eh my kids play Halo, Zelda, Call of Duty, etc with me all the time
They love it.
If a game has cuss words or anything I usually mute it while we play though.

My 4 1/2 year old plays it. He loves it and sometimes that's the only way we can get him to sit still for longer than 5 seconds. He loves toy guns and talks about the games a lot but we've sat him down and given him the speech about it just being a game and so on. I think he grasps the concept. He has a speech delay and pretty bad ADHD so I try to talk to him about it a lot to make sure it sticks.

ETA: My son plays on xbox live a lot. I always keep the other players muted though, even when it's just me playing. He's pretty damn good too. I bet most people wouldn't have any idea they are playing with somebody so young.

Both my 4 and 3 year old play. My 3 year old just ends up shooting the air but my 4 year old plays better then me   . They even play live and talk to the other players. I have to add though that my SO talks to the other players and lets them know that our kids are going to be playing and they are generally pretty nice about watching their language.

That's how my four year old is lol. He likes playing with SO...it's like bonding time for them haha. He has only played a handful of times but loves it. When he was three he actually shot two people ... I was shocked he figured it out lol. But yeah he is obsessed with guns. With his toy guns he knows to NEVER shoot at people or animals even though his guns are obviously fake
