I think I want my milk back

posted 12th Dec
So my son still nurses. He is 13 months old. My supply is enough to make him happy but only one Breast still produces. How can I get it to come back in my other breast??

You can pump on that breast while your son nurses on the other. I don't know if pregnancy tea would help. Does your son still nurse on that side?

My son is 26 months and continues to nurse frequently. He only likes one side (right side) but I can sometimes get him to nurse on the other side. My left side seems to take longer to get a let-down and he often won't wait long enough for it. It is quite a bit smaller then my right side  . However, my daughter also continues to nurse and sue usually nursed on that side, there is lots of milk, she just has to be patient for it.

It's always made less and when we cut back it was way less as he was never happy with it and eventually it stopped. I try to give it to him occasionally but it's never successful cuz he gets close to nothing

Is it an issue that he's only on one side? does it bother you at all? I once read about a mother who only had one breast but nursed twins

After he is done nursing, or just about done, could you offer the side that is not producing? Just the suckling will trigger the hormone and milk will be made, even a small amount and might increase gradually..I don't know if that will work, though, he might not want to even comfort nurse on that side if he already knows that nothing is coming out..
