I voted Yes. My daughter has always just got up and ran off to scream and throw some of the biggest sissy fits but they only last 3 minutes or so. And afterwards she's completely fine. If I don't let her have her little me time to CIO she will be in a bad mood for hours

No.
I tried it one time and realized that I wasn't comfortable with it at all.

No. I mean maybe TECHNICALLY I do now but she is 2.5. I let her WIO but no CIO. If she is legitimately crying, she needs something.

No. But I do have severe PPD and sometimes I had no choice but to let her cry so I could cry.

We're doing it now while breaking her bottle in bed habit. When put to bed, she's fine... dry diaper, sippy of water to quench her thirst and she screams because she knows there's no bottle.

Nope. My kids were pretty good sleepers, and had no trouble falling asleep on their own.

Exactly how we see it, too. He's grown out of it at this point since he's almost 4, but at around 2 or so, he would whine, you could tell the difference between the fake, forced cry and if he was truly upset or needing something. If he was fake-crying or whining, we left him there, he eventually just cut it out after a month or so. If he was really crying, then I wouldn't just leave him there.

But not as an infant or baby < 18 months or so. He started the fake cry bit when he was around 18 months.

That's about when DD started with the fake crying smurf. Then I just did redirection. Now she does it because she thinks she can get away with smurf so I just let her whine. She'll figure it out.
