Baking Question

posted 12th Dec
Probably a dumb question.
Recipe calls for uncooked quick-cooking oats. I have these:

Are these the same thing? Do I need to buy a different type?

I'm making these cookies. http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/white-chocolate-dipped-oatmeal-cranberry-cookies-10000001839964/

I would too. 1.) no point in wasting money on one recipe 2.) the steel cu would add a slight texture to it, which is usually nice

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for next year   (My neighbor does a Christmas cookie swap every year. These are a big hit haha) Luckily I found some of the instant stuff after digging through the pantry so I didn't have to buy it.
