Midwife help?
posted 12th Dec
Does anyone know of any websites that help you find midwifes in your area?
I'm having a hard time with google lol. It's hard to tell who delivers at home, who delivers in birthing centers and who is through the hospital.
The only midwife I know personally here delivers at the hospital and there is no difference between going to her or a regular ob. She still only allows 2 in the room and doesn't really care about the natural side of birthing. Idk.
But I want to find a list or something.
Also does anyone know about how much it costs to pay them out of pocket?
TIA

I joined local parenting and natural birthing forums and facebook groups in my area and asked around.
My midwife is a HB midwife.. and charges $2,500-$4,000 it depends on what insurance you have, but if have none, then its $4,000.
which is really cheap for 40 weeks of prenatal care, the birth, the PP care and the Newborn care.
