So I decided to go through with a medical abortion at 9 weeks.
Yesterday was my second appointment (the first was two days earlier and consisted of me taking one tablet to stop the pregnancy). I arrivdd yesterday and was given four tablets to take vaginally and left in my room to let tge pregnancy pass. I had read plenty of pain related horror stories sobit is safe to say I was smurffing myself. In fact, thebpain I experienced was minimal. Period pains have been worse. I passed a few clots then, after a while, fekt an internal pop and passed the baby and placenta together.
Well that's what they thought anyway. After getting dressed and standing up, blood gushed out of me. Lots of blood. Soaked through a hospital materniyy pad, my underwear, jeans, socks and was pooling on the floor below me.
I was losing lots of large clots in tge bed pan everytime I sat on it. Eventually I was taken for an internal scan which revealed that there was still some placenta.
I was given another four tablets to cause contractions and hopefully work tge left over tissue out. It hurt. I bled. A lot. Many clots. After the bleeding tapered off I wad discharged and told to return if I had sny problems within the next 24hours.
I didn't even make it to thd car. Gush. Blood. More than the first time. I waljed myself back to the gyno unit... Well most of the way. I almost passed out half way through the corridor after the two flights of stairs and had to be taken the rest of the way in a wheelchair. Two bllod tests, two failed and one successful attempt to place an IV, two scans, two VERY painful examinations and one attempt to remove the remaining tissue later, I was told that I would have to stay in over night.
This morning I was taken for an internal scan. I am still bleeding like a mother smurfer. I am going to have to have surgery to remove what is left over.
I am smurffing myself.

I'm sorry your experience was so bad, it must be really hard to deal with especially when you weren't expecting it to go this way. I hope you have a fast recovery once they have finished what they need to do.

I'm so sorry you are going through that momma.
*Hugs*
That's just awful. Hope the surgery goes well and this issue can resolve itself without more pain and complication for you.

oh you poor thing
when i had my last abortion (both mine were surgical) only one of the 4 other ladies was not still pregnant- the one in the bed next to me- she had had 2 medical abortions- the first TWO MONTHS previously and still had retained tissues so she had to have the surgical procedure anyway! she was in tears
glad you are ok now xxx
