I tried POF and it was full of nasty people. Plus POF is a lot less thorough with matches than Okcupid is. Okcupid actually gives you a match percentage and matches you based on a lot of different things. My bf and I were a 94% match lol. I interacted with a lot of really intelligent people on okc, but I can't say the same for POF.

Omg I got those messages all the time! Like "you're too pretty for me and girls don't like me but I'm giving it a shot and blah blah blah life story sob sob". Or I'd get guys who would message me and if I didn't message them back they'd send me another message, and they progressively got angrier the more messages they sent. I never ever responded to guys who just said "hi" or "ur hot" or any of the life story ones. My bf sent me this message (I had written in my profile that I'm 22 and enjoy iCarly and then I had a picture of my sister and myself next to a bonfire): "iCarly goes hard. I was watching my friend's kid and watched that show. Btw good job starting fires with your sister." I thought he was funny and had obviously read my profile. (I hate the ones who only look at your pics gahh). Looked through, he was smart as smurf, our political and (lack of) religious beliefs were basically the exact same which is really important to me, annnd he was cute as hell. So here we are 6 months later and I couldn't be happier.

lol, you have to screen well with both. OKC has matched me with people that had nothing filled out, high 90s percentage, that live in other states... so I certainly don't trust them.

I dont' trust either's "matches" I dont' even really look at them. I just browse people's profiles.
