It's been over two weeks.

And this red splotch on my eye is still here. I have a routine down now. Ibuprofen before bed so I can sleep through the pain. Clear Eyes in the morning so that my eye doesn't hurt as bad. And then trying not to touch it throughout the day to make it worse.

What the smurf is it? It went away last time, and now it's been here for over 2 weeks. It HURTS. It's causing me to have constant headaches. I can feel pressure behind my eye. My actual eyeball hurts to touch (putting my finger on my lower eyelid hurts). No it doesn't feel like something is in my eye.

I'm about to look through my insurance through work and sign up for the vision/dental so I can go see a doctor. but that'll take at least a month. UGH.

The closest thing I've come to finding out what I think it is is glaucoma. Or a tumor behind my eye

you have something in there or are coming in contact with something that is causing it to be red and inflamed...you could have possibly scratched your eye and that could be very painful and can take awhile to heal.

Not sure. If you're not already I'd stay away from any eye make up.

Could you have scratched your eyeball? I did it once, and it was awful. It took months to heal, and it got hard to see because my eye was constantly watering.

I'd definitely get that checked...even if just by your family Dr. and then if needed by an optometrist.

No. I know what it feels like when I scratch my eye. It constantly feels like something is in there and no matter how much I rub my eye, it won't come out.

This is nothing like that. The pain is more behind my eye than the actual eyeball. There is SO much pressure and I'm on the verge of crying because I can't handle it anymore.

The hypochondriac in me is telling me it's a tumor. Because of the pressure and headaches. WOMP.

Can't. I don't have insurance ATM. It'll take about 4 weeks if I send the paperwork in ASAP tomorrow.

I used my eyeliner last year and a little peice of the wood from the pencil got in my eye and scratched and and actually became stuck way back in my eye...I had to go to the optometrist and get my eye dyed blue for them to see it and it had to be flushed out with their special eye washer...it sucked

You could have an infection. I got one from wearing my contacts too long  , it looked & felt just like you're describing

If it's that bad I'd even make a trip to the ER. Could be a blood clot or many other things. Better to have it checked than to leave it.

Ugh. I'm just so frustrated. My friend is saying I can go to Urgent Care or something... but I'm pretty sure they'll need money up front. And if SO's cost to go to Urgent Care with insurance is $75, I don't even want to imagine what mine would be without insurance.

I would go to an urgent care and pay for it later. It's your friggin eye ball you're talking about, only get two of those in your whole life. And what if it's an infection?
