You can apply for financial assistance after you get your bill. It might or might not bring the cost down. But urgent care is going to be less expensive than the emergency room.

You could call local eye dr's and see if they will set up a payment plan for you at the time of service.

Sell something! Your tv, computer, cell phone ..whatever you can. Your health is more important.

Sorry, I'm used to not having to pay for Dr and ER visits. One of the many upsides to being Canadian I guess. Hope you find a way to get it checked and that when you do all is well!

But yes, it sucks.

It looks like what my mum gets periodically. What she gets is called Iritis. Apparently it's not meant to come back but she has had it come and go for about 2 years now. When it goes untreated it causes eye damage so hopefully you don't have it because waiting a month could be bad!
