im the same way. i got through my pre-law classes with an As. but still felt like i could have done better and i start over-analyzing all of my worksheets, papers and tests for minor errors.
I think its not low self esteem. Its just you always strive to do better. and you seeing those girls as being "smarter" is just your motivation. think about it. if you thought you were smarter than everyone else where would you be? probably no where because you would think there's no room for improvement

Well thank you from the bottom of my heart for understanding my original post and being kind with your response, unlike other people on this website. I don't think the other ladies understood what I was asking, or haven't been in my shoes. Thank you for sharing your experience.
