my docotor told me it would only take 3-6 months TC after the last shot. Well its been 3 months, and I was due to get my 3rd shot this week, but obiviously Im not going since we are TTC lol. I only had bleeding after the first shot, AF...it only lasted 5 days though. I wish I wouldnt have gotten it also...Ive gained 13 lbs while on the shot and the doctor said that it was normal due to increased appitite...really? 13 lbs in normal to gain within 3 months.

I never gained any weight from it, most acne and prolong bleeding, I started on the 5th of Nov till today. I have called my doctor and said it was normal to bleed as long as I have been, but really I dont think its healthy to have it going on this long. Like I can't even bed cause of this. Not liking it at all. hahaha

You do need a second opinion. Bleeding that long after coming off the shot is dangerous. My sister had a blood transfusion because she had the same issue. They wound up putting her on meds to stop it az well as keeping her in the hospital for two weeks.

What was your sister feeling like? Like how did she know she needed that, just went in and told her?

My last shot was due August 21st and I bled from the week I got the shot back in May until October 1st. So I bled for a month and a half after my shot was due again. I read where i can take up to 13 weeks after your next shot is due before it clears your system. Give it a month or so more and see if it clears up.

Am I the only strange one who got pregnant ON Depo? And I agree with everyone else Depo is the devil, I would never do it again.

I wonder if the odds are higher to get preggo ON depo, than to get pregnant directly after your 3 months are up -.-

I'm not sure I thought the average was like 8-9 months after the shot and a 1% chance while on it. I was only 17, I had just gotten my second shot (on time) and started feeling like complete crap. I don't remember how long after my second shot I found out I was 16 weeks pregnant, I think it was 5-6 weeks. I kind of passed the pegnancy symptoms off as side effects of the Depo.

I just wanted to stop in and tell you ladies not to give up hope on TTC after depo. My last depo shot was due August 21st and yesterday I got a very clear, dark BFP!! So chin up ladies

Wow! So it took you 4 cycles? That was fast. Did you get your AF after stopping depo?

Congrats! I was also in the depo and keeping my hopes high for a BFP soon.   My last one was Oct 5th. So my three months are up today. Haha, but congrats mama.

I've only had one shot as well. I got it in August and it expired in November. I still haven't had a AF :/ no bleeding at all.

I had non-stop bleeding from the week of the shot. I finally stopped bleeding a month and a half after my shot expired and got my period two weeks later. I "feel" like it took until November to get out of my system. I know how frustrating waiting can be. Were your cycles normal before depo?

I didn't bleed at all on depo. And no AF since it "expired" in November. Yes, before depo I had regular cycles.
