I'm so damn proud of myself!

I'm about to graduate... from high school. I only need 2 1/2 credits and then i'll be walking down the stage in june. I got pregnant at 14 and had DS at the age of 15. I always told myself that i was going to be a "teen" mom that was going to graduate, but things got hard down the road.
My mom was in jail, my dad forgot about me, my grandma and aunt moved to Nebraska. So i was basically depending on SO and his family. I've been working since i turned 16 and could finally get a job. (Fast Food) Nothing special. Well it started affecting me in school, i was just so stressed and so tired of doing "everything". I actually matured alot from then and now! I was suppose to graduate june 2012 but i didn't (no biggie). By then i was getting fusterated and i just wanted to graduate.
Now, I only need 2 1/2 credits to get my diploma! I should be graduating in 2 weeks to a month at the age of 18. After i graduate, i'm going to sign up for classes in college for the next semester and get life going. I have my own apartment and have a job (not fast food) lol.

Sorry, i'm just talking. I'm just so happy for myself. This is going to be something i could tell DS one day, and hopefully he'll be proud of me too! Here goes to providing a better life for LO and I ..

Congratulations! I had my son when I was 14 too and I'm graduating in 8 days.

You should be proud. I always heard that most teen moms don't get their diploma and people always thought that I wouldn't either. But I did too. =] I had my son a month after I turned 17 and was pregnant with my second when I graduated in the Summer. So good job on keeping in school! =]

and i don't mean it in no type of offense or anything. I've just seen some post where "some" are kinda mean towards the fact that some people have a job like that. idk. lol

congrats! Most people in my graduating class were 17-18, so it doesn't sound like you're behind at all.

I am. And yeah, some of my friends dropped out and got there GED (nothing against that) just not my option. And congrats! 2? Wow, that great that you graduated! My dads gf always thought that i wasn't going to graduate.

Congrats girl! I graduated half a year later from everyone because I had surgery so it took months to recover. So it was Nov 2009 for me not June 2009 like everyone, all that matters is your diploma so you can start college.

Yeah, i was suppose to graduate at the age of 17, but as long as i'm graduating! And thanks btw.

congrats OP! i walked down the aisle at my HS graduation at 17, with a 4 month old. i was very proud of myself for sticking with it. now college, i've had some trouble with. i SHOULD've been graduating this coming up may, but i dropped out, got pregnant again. and basically am a year behind.. but as long as i keep going right?
