Can you reupholster these?

posted 11th Dec

These things.
We have a Dora one, and i absolutely hate it.
It doesn't go with our space, etc etc.
But dad bought it for Clara and she DOES use it. but i just...i need it to look different.
Are they worth reupholstering?
I've reupholstered a chair before, using a staple gun...how would i even go about doing this?
There's nothing to staple in to...

I was gonna use this to recover it

Can you sew? You could just make a slipcover and then sew it around the bottom.

I can, i'm just wondering how that would work exactly, cos it folds up/attaches in such an..odd..way ha.

I think you would have to sew a custom slip cover for it

Just take an afternoon to stitch rip the cover off and knock off the pattern.

You would have to sew something. That would be tough seeing how is folds. I dunno can you just buy one of those cute chairs at pottery barn or target? Lol

Ya it would be hard to do it with a picture like that, it'd be easier with a repeating pattern. Cuz the picture will be all messed up looking.

It is an awesome blanket though (or...whatever it is, lol).

The best waty to do it is take the cover off and take a seam ripper to the seams and then you will have a pattern to go buy to make the new one.

haha a 'tapestry' from urban, but can be used on beds, whatever. it's just sitting on the couch right now, but a mini couch made out of it? i'd die
