Quoting DJ, Nick & Emma's mommy:" My daughter has been really sick for a few days now, and she has been to the hospital twice in the past ... [snip!] ... will blow it off, or if they will alert the parents, and I don't know if it is even my place to say something to the school. "
Quoting ♥supermommy:" Older children can get it, but it's more common among those with lowered immune systems like babies or young toddlers."yeah, I had done some research on it after I found out she had it...My step dad is really sick right now too, and he got sick after being around them when they both were sick, and my mom is starting to get sick too. From what I read anyone can get it but as you said it's more common in babies and young toddlers.

Quoting ♥supermommy:" How old is your baby that has it? I'd tell the school to be safe, but they shouldn't freak out too ... [snip!] ... rota virus, it sucks and can be contagious but most likely not since your older one's immune system is way more developed"I just re-read your post, and I didn't even think about the older kids getting the lessor version of rsv and then going home to infect infant siblings or friends or whatever... So yeah I would def tell the school
Quoting *MommaLindz*:" I work at a preschool, and we ALWAYS appreciate a heads-up about those kinds of things :-)"Ok, thanks!! I was just not sure whether to say anything or not, I have never had to deal with something like this before!! And I'm sure that if it is going around his school that the parents might think that its just a cough and nothing major (cause thats how it started out with my 2 younger ones, then bam!) and then some of them might not even get all the symptoms...I just want the parents to know...and hopefully if their kids are sick, might keep them home instead of continuing to spread it around

My 4 year old had it first, but it was quick for him, but my daughter can't kick it. Their Dr said that he kicked it faster because his immune system is more developed.
