parents who have lost infants

I think there should be a forum just for parents who have lost their infant or child, and another for miscarriages or pregnancy related deaths. I've had 2 miscarriages and my infant just passed away from SIDS. The feelings to me are completely different. I feel like I have no one to connect with because all the posts in this forum are about miscarriages, which are also painful and I'm hopeing no one gets offended or thinks that I'm saying those women aren't suffering either..... losing your infant unexpectedly for no reason is just a completely different loss......

First off, I am very sorry for your loss but I think that S&L is an appropriate sub-forum for this, I dont think we need a separate one.

You can't compare the two, I totally agree. I have had 5 m/c and don't fully understand the grieving process of them but, we all handle things differently and I would never tell a mother that her loss was minimal compared to XYZ. I have also never burried a child and I pray that I never have to either. That is a pain I don't think any parent should ever know.

One loss isn't greater than the other in matters of the heart. There are mothers with stillborn babies, ones that lived in their arms for a few hours, ones that m/c and babies that have left to SIDS or other illnesses. This is a place for all to come together and offer support. It doesn't matter how or when you lost your child. Just that someone is there to listen and most understand.

This forum is also for those who have lost loved ones. Grief knows no limits, it doesn't discriminate and it certainly can isolate a person. This is the perfect place to vent away for any loss.

Lately there´s been more miscarriage posts but there´s a lot of women on this board who have lost infants (myself included).

I read one of your posts about your baby the other night and you have been in my prayers. My heart breaks for you and your family. I hope you can find the support you need.

I've lost a seven month old, I know what you mean but I don't think there should be separate threads. You just have to dig through what's here. Pm me if you'd like to talk or just cry to someone. <3

I lost my baby (infant) on Dec 7th. She lived for 2 hours. I also have had a miscarriage and NO you can NOT compare the 2. I can't sleep at night. Which is why I am on here   I am probably not the right person to talk to right now, as I am pissed and angry. There are many good mamas on here to talk to though you should take them up on their offer

No they aren't the same but I could never tell a mother who is grieving that her loss was any less important than mine. I lost my little girl almost 4 years ago at 2 hours old. A loss is a loss IMO.

I never ment that one loss is more important than another and I'm truly sorry if I offended anyone who took it that way.
