Sorry I'm eating donuts for breakfast so I'm taking a while to post but I'm glad one of your births went well.... goodness makes me nervous and excited I need to go through the storm before there's a rainbow at the end   I love kids but I don't think I want a second one for a while a big age gap lol I'm too small for all these physical changes.. my hips feel like they're going to split.

Good luck to you hun! My kids are only 21 months apart but it took us 3 1/2 years to conceive Tate so we started early (as soon as Tate turned one) thinking it would take a long time again. Never dreamed we would conceive Bo on the first try!

I've had back labor before for a m/c and let me tell it's wayyyy worse than just BH's I can deal with the cramping it feels like I'm super gassy and constipated but my back felt like someone was chopping it down like a tree and even I slept through that. My family told me I have a high pain tolerance but we'll see about that. I know what you mean about how you interpret pain... it's like when someone accidentally hurts themselves and doesn't know it. They won't feel anything because they didn't know it happened until they finally see the blood and cut that's when things start kicking in because it sends signals to your brain telling you I'm hurt. If you put your mind in another place that's not associated with pain your brain will block it out but, the more you think about it the more it hurts. My stepmother told me not to scream it makes it worse because your breathing in and bringing the baby back up just breathe. She popped my sisters at 18 both with no epi and my dad said they came out like popcorn with no screaming lol

Oh wow that's understandable. I seen many women with fertility problems not even coming out of their twenties so your getting the family done early makes sense. With everything going in this world I wouldn't blame you... but thank you once again for your advice and help, I just need to stay calm when the time comes. I think I'm going to ask my DF for an mp3 so whenever I hit contractions I can just listen to music maybe that will help.

Yes!! My miscarriage hurt wayyy worse!! I remember just kneading my toes into the bed from the pain! It sucked majorily.

Another thing was when i gave birth not one oz of fear passed through me. I knew exactly what was going on at all times. (Also nothing WENT wrong thank god so there was no actual reason go be afraid). I was running on pure insticnt. I have read so many women say that so many times. But now I get it. When you go to the bathroom, are you running on instinct or fear? Does fear ever pop into your head? No it just is what it is.

It's great how you put it because that's especially how I see giving birth. it's the main reason why I chose to have a water birth because I know I am able to do this and what my Midwife has taught me to do is only read or listen to positive labor stories.. don't let other women put fear in your head because it will stay with you and that is what your going to expect is fear. She also gave me the book "Ina May's Guide To Childbirth" and I think I want to get the hypnobabies CD so I know for sure how to stay calm.

I read that book, love it, and live ina may gaskin!! She really stuck it to those so called 'medical professionals' who felt mid wives were of a lower class.

And yes! Positive birth stories only!! I made sure I was well aware of the complications that could arise, and how to prevenf/take care of those. However I stuck to positive birth stories!
