So... Can't kick her out... Can she go back with her parents or grandparents? She needs some anger management or something.... I agree with the sitting at the table with nothing. That would drive me crazy.... My dad grounded me from my radio one time.... I almost went insane because I HAVE to have background noise

She obviously has some issues if throwing a $1500 computer was her solution to a very mild issue. Better to get her a healthy outlet to help her learn to manage the anger then to excuse but saying she is just a kid. And when people said throw her ass out they didnt know she was 12.

That's not normal for a 12 year old

There have been plenty of times around that age where I wanted to smash everything I saw but did I ever actually break anything? No.

How do you know whats normal for any child? Just because you didnt do it doesnt make it abnormal.

I know a lot of kids that throw and break things when they are angry.

That's not normal behavior for any person.
It's not just an "Oh, she's 12" kind of thing. She obviously needs to work on her respect for people and their things.

Just let her mother deal with her and tell her she is no longer welcome in your house until she has had an attitude adjustment and can apologize.

I'm glad you're such an expert on everyone.

Did we ever consider she may have some emotional issues going on?

Thats a good idea, make her work for the money to pay for the repairs.

And you can also insure it under safeware.com I bought a 3 year one on my macbook pro.. they've already fixed it when my mousepad broke and when sand got into it and it stopped working. It was 150 to insure and I don't pay when it needs to be fixed.. (there's no additional payments after the intial payment)

by her age she knows right from wrong. Personally she would be out of my house and back with her parents. & i would expect her parents to pay for it being fixed. That is just ridiculous. Im sorry about your computer.
