Quoting Roe23:" We are just using the withdrawal method but I want to start using fertility awareness too. I just don't ... [snip!] ... ovulated that month, so we only use Withdrawal. I have had 4 periods (ovulated each time) and haven't gotten pregnant yet  ."

I dont do the whole temping thing... I use that "My days" app on my iphone that tells me when I am "suppose" to ovulate and started to realize that I get ovulation pains and i pay attention to the cervical mucus. So I always know when I am ovulating based on the chart and when I get the ovulation pains.. I make sure the pains match up with what the app says and just use condoms on the "fertile days" and when I have the O pains if they are different times, but I have it set and the App is very accurate!

I have only experienced ovulation pains once in my life (that I noticed) and that was before my first PP period a few months ago. I was sure that I had ovulated, and 14 days later, my period started  . I was kind of excited but since then, I haven't noticed it.

I definitely notice them every month. Before I got pregnant I had no idea what it was and thought i had endometriosis!! I even went to my ob/gyn about it and they NEVER said anything about ovulation pains, they were going to to a lapascopy to see if I had endometriosis!!! Lol

I'm pretty sure they are common but I know some people dont have them but you would think a gynecologist might bring that up!

This pregnancy wasn't intentional. I don't like being on BC and we have never used condoms so we have always use the pull out method. He is very good at it, it worked fine for years. What happened this time is that we have been drifting more towards NFP, so he didn't pull out every time, just most of the time. I must have ovulated late and well, here I am. lol

My ex and I had already had the talk that I was going to get off my b/c in a couple of months and start trying. Well I got sick and was on an antibiotic and apparently that did the trick because my DS will be 4 in April. Can't believe my ex took off and hasn't been a part of our lives since DS was born. That's ok though because now I'm with the love of my life and he's amazing to me and a wonderful dad to DS. We're on month 14 of ttc though   never thought it would be this hard!
