I said my marriage the way i did it meant more to ME, but that was it. of course the fact that I am relgious is going to mean that the ordinances that come with my marriage mean more to me than if i were to do one without them. I have said over and over that that does not mean that those who dont do it my way value theirs any less than i value mine.

A word of advice, STOP back tracking. It seems like every single post of yours starts with "When did I ever say that?" or "That's not at ALL what I said!" When, really I haven't seen anyone skew your words much if at all.

However, I do appreciate you thinking it over and attempting to rephrase your position. I think in reality, you DO believe that your marriage is better, and should be considered more special than others. BUT I do think that this thread made you realize that your views are pretty messed up, and ARE judgmental and that you DO in fact see other peoples marriage as unequal to yours based on religion. I know that by now you won't own up to that, but I do think that deep down you realize that your views are exactly what people have been telling you they are, judgmental. It's okay if you don't admit it, as long as you know how royally jacked up it is.

Marriage, in the legal sense, is a contract between you, your spouse and the government. There is nothing "sacred" about it. However, it means much more than a simple piece of paper to many, many people, religious or not.

In a faith based sense, marriage is still a "contract" but it is between you, your spouse and God.
