Can't cover everyone. Sorry I guess.

I'll be honest with you, I've never read the Book of Mormon, but what do they believe was here? What is their interpretation of the creation story? And where, specifically, does it say that people who do not believe shouldn't be married? Or that marriage was around before the earth was formed? These are serious questions, not me trying to be snarky.

So what gives you the right to determine if someone of a different religion or lack thereof marries or not?

Oh, waiiiit.... that's right. It doesn't.

Im not a brood mare, nor do i compare my marriage to anyone else, I look at marriage differently than others yes, but I dont compare my marriage or think my relationship is BETTER than anyone else because of what I believe. Maybe if ppl who cry "intolerance" would actually be more tolerant of other ppls beliefs themselves and not MOCK others for what they believe to be true, the world would be a better more loving place. I never said i was better or thought i was better,

Quoting **Blessed Insanity **:" I never ONCE said that, and you know it, I even said that many religious ppl dont take marriage seriously anymore. dont put words in my mouth as if i look down on ppl who dont believe in God."

Clearly you do if you think that only people with YOUR beliefs should be allowed to be married. Everyone else is just beneath that and should have civil unions. Right? Why does anyone else's marriage matter to you anyway?

But it doesn't say "Christian" it says "I have religion and I married." So that would apply to you if you have religion of WHATEVER type and got married.

Right! Like Kaysay said, marriage isn't just for christians. If someone wants to have a religious based marriage/wedding, whether they be christian, wiccan, pagan, etc. or have no religion at all who is anyone else to tell them whether they can marry or not?

Just an observation. I personally didn't know what to pick is all. There's a lot of Pagan-based and other religions out there too, didn't know if they were covered under the whole "Are you religious and married" bit or not.

No because many other faiths believe in God, not just mine. And I never said anyone elses marriage mattered to me, I was commenting on another topic of whether or not it bothered me if other ppl who were not married called their SO's husband or wife. I gave my opinion.

Marriage exists legally, socially and religiously. For some it's all 3 and for others it's just one or 2. and, for others, it's just a piece of paper they choose to not obtain.

DH is Christian and believes in God. I have no religion and don't believe in God. We both take marriage very seriously. That quote was incredibly stupid.

But more on the subject at hand, marriage isn't just for Christians. I think people from EVERY walk of life take marriage seriously and there are others who just don't. It doesn't matter what their religion is. I know Christians and more specifically Catholics who are divorced.
