When did your toddler that was a preemie...

When did they start saying a lot of words? Aidan really only says "dada", "mama", & "hi" He was 8 weeks early but he is now almost 13 months old.   Just kind of worried, I suppose.....

My preemie needed therapy for a speech delay. She was 18 months old when she was evaluated and was barely communicating at all. She said words sometimes, but not meaningfully

Not many babies say a lot at 13 months whether they were preemies or not lol. He's fine mama

That sounds pretty normal for most 13 months old that weren't preemies. Of course all kids are different but I think he sounds fine!

Liam wasn't a preemie... he was born at 37 weeks and he doesn't say much at all... Mama, Dada, Papa and poop. lol

my daughter wasnt a preemie, she was 6 days late, but she didnt say more than dada and mama at 13 months. she actually didnt really talk at all until 18 months. then she started to pick up words here and there. she is just now at 2 years old forming full sentences. she is being raised bilingual though.

Maybe 18 months her vocab kinda exploded she was very quiet before... only said papa, mama, cup... she was 36 weeks she was delayed in everything about 1 month

Both my girls were preemies. Autumn is 2.5 and didn't start saying anything until about a year and a half. Sophie is 15 months and only says no and gibberish.
Some kids don't talk for a while. My sister didn't talk until 3.

DS was 5 weeks early and he has a speech delay. But I don't think the 2 are related.

DS takes a few steps each day by himself but he won't full-fledge walk.

is that 1 a premie?? My 15 month old, who was born day before his due date, has just decided to walk...

My gastro baby and premie baby, both walked at 13 months, 2 full months before him  

DD just turned 3 and only says "mama, hey, bye, and pappaw." She was 4 weeks early.
