WIC's guidelines are so high because its also a nutritional program. They offer vouchers to your local farmer's markets now and its supplemental to buy things from the 5 food groups your children or you need while pregnant or breastfeeding. Thats why its so easy to qualify sometimes.

I just had my second baby and we dont qualify for WIC anymore   I tried to get it for help with formula.

Lying to them can really get you in trouble. I would report that income right away. You can be charged with fraud. Usually when you sign up they tell you to report changes within 10 days not your next appointment. When he turns in a pay check stub showing how much hes made through out the year they are going to know he has been collecting something he shouldnt be!

We don't receive ebt or wic.
When I was pregnant with my first and for a while after he was born we had WIC and it helped a lot with milk, cereal, peanut butter, veggies and cheese. I hated hated hated going through the line with my wic checks so one day I just quit going to pick them up.

WIC supplies you with necessities, milk, bread, eggs, cheese, cereal, etc. Food stamps has a more strict income guideline, and can be used for pretty much any type of food.
Currently we have neither, although we'd probably qualify for both.

the only down grading would be to go straight to the ghetto and i refuse to do that.. especially with a child....   we pay tech $500 rent with a $300 lot rent, then my car payment which is only $180. im on the budget plan with power and i have cable.. yet we are discussing down grading our cable!

Were in Virginia and i know.. he does a 6 month "check up" and the last one was in the summer so we know anytime it will be coming around... and i think the only reason he hasnt reported it is cause usually they find out on their own anyways and cut it off. we know some people that has happened to.. talk about embarrassing go to the store rack up a bunch on food and have nothing ot pay with...

Are you living with your SO? If yes, that needs to be reported along with both your wages etc on one application. If you lie to social services and lose benefits then you can't get WIC either.

As for downgrading cable. Sounds like a legit thing to do if you can't afford to eat. Same with living in the ghetto. Your basic needs should take a priority- not your house.

  I agree. If you can't afford to eat you should get rid of the cable and use that money for food!

oh no don't get me wrong there are really awesome pretty houses for dirt cheep. yet me being white i probillie wouldn't be able to go outside after sunset thats the problem.. i dont exactly wanna go to sleep at night listing to gun shots...
