HELP

IS more then one ultrasound bad on the baby....because of the radiation????How many have yall had?????I'm thinking about getting two more is that bad????

No its not bad to get more than one. I have had 2 so far and I go in for another in a month. Plus if you have GD they give them often. U/S doesnt use radiation.

No, some women have them weekly if there are complications.

I don't think ultrasounds give off radiation. Ultrasounds use sound vibrations.

ultrasounds are only the use of sound waves bouncing off of surfaces- no radiation at all!

Last I heard ultrasounds aren't harmful to your baby. I've had three already and I'll be getting one more in a few weeks.

Ultrasounds use sound waves, not radiation. And if they were harmful they just wouldn't be done. I had about 7 with my son, and I've had 2 so far this time, with another one in a few weeks and several more after that I'm sure because of a problem with the cord.

I've had 4. I have read quite a bit about prenatal ultrasound linking it to things from left-handedness to autism. Ultrasound is known to heat up tissue, but there's not a whole lot of evidence showing that it is harmful to a fetus. That said, I preferred to get as few as possible just in case. I've had four - one to determine gestational age, one to measure the neural tube for defects, one for the anatomy scan, and one to see if she had turned the proper direction and monitor her size because she's a big baby.

I don't expect to get any more unless there are complications in labor.

U/s uses SOUND waves so its not at all harmful to your baby.
I had 19 U/s with this last bundle of mine.. i had emevery 2weeks until i was 24 wks.. then every couple weeks i had them.

I will be having my 5th 2 wks from today. . . as far as I know its perfectly safe....

Im a high risk pregnancy...and I have u/s often...
so far 2 a month.......

Your baby will be fine....I was high-risk with an incompetent cervix, polyhydraminos (high fluid level)and a cerclage and had to have 15+ ultrasounds. My daughter is perfectly fine!

Hahahaah my friend and I just said today that we wished we could have one every week!!! I want to see what is going on in there!!!!

I literally had like 30....almost every week. My baby turned out just fine!
